Mayor of Jerusalem Invites Readers to Visit

Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to visit Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is a city of great fascination, where East meets West and ancient meets modern, a city holy to the world's monotheistic religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

A visit to Jerusalem is to discover the shrines of the world's greatest empires and architecture as well as to explore holy sites, antiquities and historical remnants, all attesting to our rich heritage.

At the same time, Jerusalem is a vibrant and modern cultural and cosmopolitan center which is fully equipped with comfortable facilities, including an abundance of one to five-star luxury hotels, and superb shopping alongside a wide variety of museums, art galleries, restaurants, sidewalk cafes and pubs.

With the coming of the year 2000, Jerusalem will be hosting many special events and celebrations and I welcome you to read about these happenings in our web site: http://www.jerusalem.muni.il/

I hope to have a chance to personally welcome you to our Capital City and in the meantime I send you my best wishes from Jerusalem.

Yours Sincerely,
Ehud Olmert
