Good to Know

The city of Tel Aviv-Yafo provides tourists with free-guided tours of Jaffa.

Tours are conducted in English, every Wednesday at 9:30 AM. The walking tours cover ancient Jaffa and the Flea Market. Tours typically last between two and a half to three hours, there is no need to pre-register. The meeting point is at The Clock Tower, across from the Jaffa police station.

According to Etty Gargir, General Director of The Association for Tourism Tel Aviv-Yafo, plans are currently underway for more free tours. The first two additions will include a church and monastery tour in Jaffa as well as a route at the Tel Aviv University campus, which will focus on architecture, gardening and sculpture.
