Safra Square

Since 1993, Safra Square has been the location of the Jerusalem municipality complex. It is a far cry from the city’s original municipality, which was built in 1867, during the Ottoman period. The complex is comprised of nine historic buildings and three new ones.

Every Monday, guided tours (for individuals) are conducted. Tours in English are at 9:30 AM, while the Hebrew, tours are at 9:00 AM.

The city’s tourism office is located in the municipality’s plaza, so it is a good place to stop by and pick up current information.

Cost of the tour is 10 NIS/pp. Tours depart from the palm tree area in the main
plaza.

Organized groups should arrange reservations, by calling, 02/625-5981.
