The Temple Mount

If you are planning to visit the Temple Mount when you are in Jerusalem you should note that opening hours are based on Jordanian time and not Israeli time. Factoring in both Daylight Savings Time and winter and summer hours, things can get a bit confusing.

The following visiting hours (based on Israeli time) are observed:

SUMMER

Saturday – Thursday
Mornings - 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Afternoons - 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Fridays closed to visitors.

WINTER

Saturday – Thursday
Mornings – 7:00 AM -10:00 AM
Afternoons - 12:30 - 1:30 AM
Fridays closed to visitors.

If you are unsure whether hours fall into winter or summer hours during your planned visit – or have any other questions, you can contact the local WAQF office, once in Israel at 02/6272 358.
