From its name, Café Noir – one might envision a
small, smoke-filled coffee house. While escaping
smoke is nearly impossible in Israel, (where it
seems everyone smokes), in reality, this is a
restaurant that offers appetizing meals and a
welcome respite after walking in the area to view
Bauhaus buildings.
Café Noir serves breakfast until 2:00 PM. You
may be surprised if you order an Israeli
breakfast, which usually features a large salad,
typically made from tomatoes and cucumbers (and
possibly onions, parsley etc.)
If you happen to be in the area in the
afternoon, make sure you ask about the Business
Lunch (Arucha Iskit), which features an appetizer,
main course and drink. Main courses include your
choice of chicken, kebab, hot sandwiches etc. A
Business Lunch costs roughly 45-55 shekels,
depending on the main course ordered.
Note: Café Noir accepts reservations.
Directions: Café Noir is located at 43 Ahad
Ha’am Street – at the corner of Nachmani
Street.
