Publisher's Note
Wide Open Spaces is the theme of our latest issue, which is being delivered to subscribers in 61 countries. There are many places in our small and beautiful country where you can enjoy the outdoors; in this issue we've chosen to feature just a few of them - including the newest National Park, Apollonia. In this issue, we're also pleased to announce the winners of our essay contest; "What Israel Means to Me".
Entries were submitted from the United States, Canada, Israel, the United Kingdom as well such far flung places such as Malta, the Philippines, Mexico and Bulgaria, to name a few. Our first prize goes to nine-year-old Nina S., from Cincinnati, OH - who wrote an extremely eloquent and moving account of her own personal connection, to this special land. Congratulations, Nina! Our two 2nd prizes are being awarded to two women who are here because they made a conscious choice to be in Israel, they made Aliyah.
It has been extremely heartening to read the submissions and see just how much interest and caring there really is, for Israel.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who submitted and shared their thoughts with us.
