Museum
on the Seam
Just under a year ago, it
opened as the Museum on the Seam – for Dialogue,
Understanding and Coexistence. The attempt at dialogue
and coexistence are not limited only to Jews and Arabs,
as one might expect, but rather to Israeli society with

Mt.
Zion Cable Car
It was a military secret until
1972, when its very existence was first revealed. During
the War of Independence, fire from Arab League forces,
made it impossible to reach the positions on Mt. Zion.
These served as the forward position in the defense of
southwest Jerusalem. At the time, a tunnel linked Mt.
Zion with the Yemin Moshe neighborhood (in the western

Standing among the pines in
the trenches, it is almost impossible to imagine that
one of bloodiest battles of the Six-Day War was fought
right here on Ammunition Hill (Givat

Side - Spice Boxes
Hanna Bechar-Paneth’s workshop is located in the
Jerusalem House of Quality (across from the Mt. Zion
Cable Car). For years, she was known for her unique
jewelry, but ten years ago, made the switch from jewelry
to Spice Boxes. Her works are wonderful creations made

the inside is air-conditioned, the balcony has real
character and commands a great view of the Old City’s

Since 1993, Safra Square has been the location of
the Jerusalem municipality complex. It is a far cry from
the city’s original municipality, which was built in
1867, during the Ottoman period. The complex is
