Gems in Israel was founded in September 1999. A two-time recipient of the Jewish Agency's Top-10 Award it is part of Travel and Events in Israel.
We specialize in custom private tours of Israel, focusing on the Israel's lesser known tourist attraaction, the Gems - and inter-faith tours. In addition we provide a resource that will enable you to get to know the places in Israel that a tourist wouldn't normally know about, the Gems, or off the beaten path places in Israel. We feature lesser-known attractions and in so doing we draw on the experience of another Israeli treasure, its people.
There is a Hebrew saying "pnina shel makom", which literally translated means "a pearl of a place", loosely translated this is a "gem of a place", which is how we got our name. Who is behind Gems in Israel? Gems in Israel was founded by Yael Adar. Her idea was simple. You can’t really get to know a country, just by visiting the major tourist attractions. She is passionate about Israel. Her dream is to enable visitors to see the Israel she loves, by providing an ongoing resource to travelers.
